Heute Lust auf Mittagessen? Modelling User Behavior with Mobile Appointment Tools

ABSTRACT:

This presentation examines differences between various mobile communication channels and compares them in an experimental setting, where QU chair employees made daily lunch appointments. Analysis and results from collected questionnaire ratings show that user behavior is hard to predict, for it depends on both personal and situational factors. Participants were split in two categories that have different perceptions of channel features. Those differences in perception and also satisfaction are explained and discussed. The conclusion contains advice for the development of the iPhone App MoCCha that has recently been brought to Android.
