Opensignal: Crowdsourcing QoE on Mobile Networks

Biography: James leads the Opensignal team pioneering the next generation of mobile network experience measurement. Previously, he led the team responsible for the development and adoption of Opensignal’s mobile apps which have been downloaded on over 32 million consumer devices (and counting) around the world.

Abstract: Opensignal crowdsources data from millions of devices globally to report on the experience received by mobile subscribers. This talk will describe Opensignal's model of working: how reporting on mobile experience can generate improvements for users, and why the work of groups like TU Berlin is so critical to the direction of the telecoms industry.
