ABSTRACT:

Open Access aims at making scholarly information on the Internet free of charge and open to the public. After a very brief general introduction to Open Access and related copyright issues we will focus on Green Open Access, that is self-archiving of publications that were previously published closed access. Is self-archiving legal? What terms do apply? Can members of Quality and Usability lab self-archive? Finally we will look at the various Open Access services offered to members of TU Berlin (spoiler alert: We had a look at your list of publications – yes you can self-archive!) and have time for questions.
