Cross-service, cross-user Quality of Experience (CSCU-QoE)
The internet can be used to implement new services and to provide established services at lower costs. Due to the design of the internet the parameters of an end-to-end connection cannot be guaranteed, which results in different levels of service quality.
The aim of this project is to study the long-term Quality of
Experience (QoE) of IP-based communication and entertainment
services. The key question is how the user’s QoE evolves over time
and how this knowledge can be used to determine Key Quality
Impact (KQI) factors. Starting with the development of a Web
browsing-QoE (Web-QoE) model and the adaptation of existing
IP-based QoE models, the project will eventually focus on developing
cross-service QoE models for IP-based services. In the scope of this
project services such as Voice-over-IP (VoIP), video
telephony, Video on demand (VoD), IPTV, and web browsing.
