QUESI - Developing a Questionnaire for Intuitive Interaction
Motivation & Project Description
QUESI is about measuring the subjective component of intuitive use. We start with a definition of intuitive use as the user’s subconscious application of prior knowledge that leads to effective interaction with a technical system. The consequences of intuitive use for the user are a reduced amount of mental workload, ease of learning, a feeling of familiarity and a subjective conviction to have reached ones goals without making errors. In the QUESI project we develop a questionnaire that helps to collect data on these subjective consequences of intuitive use. A number of studies are conducted to evaluate the validity and reliability of the questionnaire and to collect some benchmark measures.
Expected Outcome
The outcome of the project are a validated German and English version of the questionnaire that will be freely available to researchers and practitioners.
