Teaching
Besides research, all three layers of the "Quality and Usability Lab" are well reflected in the teaching program. This topic forms an ideal meeting point between engineering (represented by the programs in electrical engineering, computer science, and technical computer science) and a number of discipines providing the basis for a human-centric design of technical systems. These include physical engeering sciences (in particular technical acoustics), psychology (Master program Human Factors), communication sciences (programs Culture and Technology and Communication and Speech), media technology (Master program Media Communication and Technology), as well as ergonomics. Students from these areas are particularly welcome to our courses, as they contribute an interdisciplinary perspective to our topics. The courses offered by the Quality and Usability Lab for the Bachelor students are mainly held in German. However, we usually offer to have individual courses held in English upon request. The courses offered for the Master students are usually held in English. If you are interested to follow courses in English, please contact the course lecturer directly. Projects for Diploma, Bachelor and Master theses may be performed in German or English, potentially also in French.
