Biography
David completed the bachelor’s and master’s program at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Campus Hagenberg, and was working at the Media Interaction Lab supervised by Prof. Michael Haller. During his master’s degree, he spent an exchange semester at the University of Waterloo, Canada, working with Prof. Stacey Scott and Prof. Mark Hancock. Between bachelor and master, he was working as a software developer at Interactive Pioneers in Aachen, Germany.
His research focuses on exploring transparent and transparency-controlled displays and other new display technologies, input methods, sketch interpretation, and gestural interfaces.
