Research Field:
- Usability
Research Topics:
- Sound synthesis, design and processing
- Multimodal interaction
Biography
Matthias Rath joined Deutsche Telekom Laboratories in Berlin as research scientist in January 2006. As a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Padova, Italy, he has been working for the European Network of Excellence “Enactive Interfaces” since February 2004. From summer 2001 to March 2004 he pursued PhD studies at the University of Verona, Italy, where he worked for European research project “The Sounding Object”. Between 1999 and 2001 he studied Electronic Composition at the Folkwang-Conservatory Essen (Germany) and worked as a software developer for consulting company “ifb Cologne”. His primary studies were in theoretical mathematics at the universities of Regensburg and Bonn, from which he graduated in October 1998 with a master thesis in Algebraic Topology.
