Biography
Falk Schiffner is specialized in the field of acoustics and hearing. After finishing his vocational education in “Hearing Aid Acoustics”, he studied “Technical Audiology” (Hörakustik) at the University of Applied Science in Lübeck, where he achieved his Bachelor Degree. In 2014 he completed his Master Program in “Audiocommunication- and Technology” at the Technical University Berlin. Since 2010, with some interruptions, he was a student worker at the TU Berlin (QU Lab, AIPA). In his Master's Thesis he studied the link between speech quality rating and speech intelligibility of normal and hearing impaired persons. In 2014 he was Research Assistant at the Ear-Nose-Throat-Department of the University Hospital RWTH Aachen for a period of six month.
He currently is a Research Assistant at the Quality and Usability Lab in the field of video quality.
